Our Company

Sayle, Sandifer & Johnson, LLP is the successor to the firm, Sayle and Macione which was founded June 1, 1969, at 110 Fourth Street, Leland, Mississippi, with two partners – Joe Macione, Jr. and Ben Sayle – one secretary, and a small office.  This was the official beginning; however, the tradition goes back even further.

In late 1969, Sayle and Macione acquired the practice of Thomas E. Walsh, CPA, of Greenville, Mississippi.  The firm then operated from both Leland and Greenville locations until moving into the offices we now occupy located at 2037 Highway 82 East, Greenville, in January, 1974.

On January 1, 1984, Joe Macione, Jr. withdrew as a partner in the firm and Virgil L. “Brother” Sandifer, Jr. was admitted as a partner.  On January 1, 1984 the firm name was changed to Sayle Sandifer & Associates, LLP.

In September 1985, Sayle Sandifer & Associates and Charles R. Marchbanks, PA, merged firms and Charles R. Marchbanks became a principal.  Charles had been in public practice since 1952 and was self-employed from 1956 to 1985.  Charles withdrew as a principal in the firm in December 1989.
